WORK 01
Fostering A Culture of Well-Being and Demonstrating the Benefits to Your Organization
This presentation was a joint production between MMA PATH, MMA Marketing, and Town of Apex for HERO (Health Enhancement Research Organization) Forum 2023 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Town of Apex implemented a wellness incentive program for their employees in order to improve employee health on the medical and pharmacy plans. My task as the data analyst was to investigate how the intervention of the incentive program affected those members who engaged with the plan and those who did not. I did this by random sampling members from each cohort and comparing their risk scores, medical costs, chronic conditions, and preventive measures over the incentive period. The second part of the analysis was to compare those who engaged with the program over two years and analyze their changes in costs, risk, and preventive measures over a two year period. The presentation received a 4.6/5 rating from audience survey response feedback. https://forum.hero-health.org/sessions/creating-a-well-workforce-and-demonstrating-the-benefits-to-your-organization/

This webinar series was a joint production between MMA PATH, MMA Marketing, and Mental Health First Aid for Mental Health Awareness Month. As the data analyst, I explored pre- and post-pandemic mental health trends in our entire book of business in order to develop a story about family mental health. Our goal was to not only consider our client’s employees mental health, but to include the entire family as mental health disorders can affect the afflicted and their loved ones. This webinar was produced for a one-month series. It was and still is the most highly rated webinar the MMA Marketing team ever produced. It was also nominated for presentation at the North Carolina Healthcare Association Summer Meeting. It was selected and two colleagues and I presented to NCHA members.

COVID-19: Trends and Analysis From 2020
This Covid-19 Analysis project was a product of the BrainStation Bootcamp. Four other teammates and I wrangled data from online sources for COVID-19 and state data, which we then cleansed and manipulated into SQL and then Tableau. We were contemplating the question on whether the state population was correlated to a higher number of cases, which turned out to not be proportionally true. We presented this to our cohort on January 26th, 2021. A link to the interactive Tableau visualizations I created are here: https://public.tableau.com/app/profile/michelle.hand.healthcaredata
